THE "WHY" BEHIND THE ORGANIZATION

CEO & FOUNDER OF THE IMPRINT, LLC

At a young age, I faced much adversity and encountered hardships that shaped me in ways I had never imagined. At the time, the tunnel to my future had seemed like a dark cloud that I would remain stuck in. Many may know this cloud to hold the production of rainy days, but for me it had generational curses within. I knew I had options, but choosing a different path than the one I grew up in would never be easy. A product of poverty, domestic violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, and unspoken trauma, I was so lost and angry that I began to feel numb. I felt that I was trapped in circumstances I hadn't asked for, and I hated myself because I couldn't control my situation. As time progressed, and through maturity, I was able to understand that my past could only shape me into a promising future. The one I promised myself I would have in order to break the generational barriers many families face.

I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives- where I could become the voice I needed growing up as a child. This interest led me to study Social Work, which became my passion. As a Mental Health Service Provider in the DMV, I am confident that The Imprint, LLC will hold true to “changing lives through impact”.

I truly care for young children and adults, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2005, I have worked with a variety of individuals dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives and I look forward to leaving a lifelong mark through my organization.

We implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among the youth and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards their life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy and mentorship is not a quick fix: these are tools that assist with the healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the youth and families alike. Our goal is to change lives by being influential through programming and services provided to individuals daily. We aim to provide our youth with a productive outlook on life and to instill in them the belief that their voice matters. Our programs have impacted many young people in a nurturing way, and we strive to continue to leave a promising mark within every individual we service. MENTORSHIP

A HAVEN FOR OPEN DIALOGUE AND SUPPORT.

The purpose of this service is to allot young Kings and Queens a haven where they can learn from one another, share experiences, ask questions, but most importantly identify with something profound; something bigger than themselves! THERAPUETIC SPORTS ENGAGEMENT

EXPRESSING ONESELF THROUGH SPORTS.

Through Therapeutic Sports Engagement,
boys and girls (ages 11-16) will take part in a 10-week basketball program that uses the game to teach life lessons, assist every individual in finding their voice, and prepare young people to master their skills through drills and games under skilled Post-college and Pro-player athletes. There will be influential quotes and words of the day during every practice, that will highlight the realities of Mental Health and working through trauma. Now Accepting Athletes SIGN UP TODAY!

PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM SERVICES (PRP-S)

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.

At The Imprint, LLC, our Licensed Professionals and Rehabilitation Coordinators work to provide adequate services to youth (ages 6-17) adults (18-62) and their families on a needed basis to tackle identified challenges within the scope of Mental Health. PRP is designed to promote healthy development of one’s behavior, social skills, self-management skills, and family relationships. This is a strengths-based program which strives for the empowerment of each client served and supports them in attaining identified personal goals(i.e. with focus on life, growth, and social development). SIBLING SUPPORT GROUPS

The Sibling Support Groups program is a way for young brothers and sisters (all ages) who are in need of understanding their situations to come together in efforts to build stronger bonds, understand their roles in their sibling cluster, and to be able to appreciate who they have even when they yearn for who they've lost.
